Ina Belle Koontz was born on July 27, 1939, and passing peacefully at home on April 25, 2026, she lived a life devoted to faith, family, and home.

 A graduate of Sissonville High School, Class of 1957, she spent the majority of her life as a homemaker, lovingly raising her three children. She was an avid gardener who spent many summers canning and freezing vegetables from the family garden. She also had a passion for sewing, creating clothing for family members, uniforms for local school groups, and many treasured quilts. 

She enjoyed yard sales and took great pride in her many collections, including coins and various types of glassware. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was happiest when everyone gathered together for holidays, family meals, or simple Sunday dinners. She also dearly loved her pets, Dollie and Kitty. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Winfred Koontz; her parents, Wilson and Dollie Boggess; and her sisters, Helen Boggess Skeen and Lorene Boggess.

She is survived by her children, W. Dwight Koontz Jr. (Sheryl), John Koontz (Vania), and Lorrie Balog (Doug); her grandchildren, Zachary Koontz (Jamie), Jacob Koontz, Marshall Koontz, Garrett Balog, Colton Balog, and Maddox Balog; and her great-grandson, Tucker Koontz. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Fisher Chapel.
