Howard Ray Cobb, 64, of Sissonville passed away April 7, 2011 at home.
Howard was a member of local 132 Heavy Equipment Operators. He retired from Rover Construction with 24 years service. Howard loved everyone he worked for, and all his friends. He especially loved his dog, Harley, and cats, Kitty Mae and Bones.
Preceded in death by his father, Jesse Ray Cobb and mother, Mariedith Vionetta Ranson.
Left to cherish his memory are his soul mate of 31 years, Linda Burdette at home; daughter, Barbara Vanoy and her husband, John, of Charleston; sisters, Janice Slusher and her husband, Gary, of Nitro, Kathy Butcher and her husband, Scott, of Sissonville, and Cindy Fullerton and her husband, Joe, of Georgia; brother, Roger Dale Cobb and his wife, Donna, of Sissonville; grandchildren, Tanya Farmer and her husband, Justin, Mark Vanoy, and Luke Vanoy and his wife, Lindsay; great-grandchildren, Dru, John, LeighAnn, and Kolton; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The Funeral Service will be 1pm Sunday, April 10 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Reverend Keith Edens officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
