Helen Lee Given Bowles, 81, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 26, after a long illness.
Helen was born May 28, 1929, in Charleston.
She was a graduate of Charleston High School, a caring wife and a loving mother to her four children.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randall Lane Bowles; parents, Lula Mae and Alva Given; sister, Nancy Ann Hill; and brothers, Jack and Robert Given.
Helen will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 63 years, Harold Bowles; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Rick Meadows of Charleston; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Susan Bowles of Winfield; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and George Kraus of Kenna; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, under the direction of the Rev. Tom Williams. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
