Heber H. "Mousie" Garnes, 87, of Sissonville passed away at his home on November 11, 2014.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Korean War Veterans Association. Heber was a Christian and attended Fisher Chapel United Methodist Church until his health no longer permitted. He spent his working years as a mechanic; retiring from Smith Transfer in 1988. Heber was a generous person who did mechanical repairs free of charge for many people

Heber is preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Betty Monday Garnes; sister, Helen Boggess; and brother, Shelby Garnes.

He will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Colleen Young Garnes; daughters, Marsha Price and Brenda Fisher; granddaughters, Kecia Bowman, Tiffany Petry, Marissa Fisher; and five great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Gary Monday officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
