Harry was a devout Christian who spent a lifetime serving his church. He was an active member of Greenlee United Methodist Church for 48 years, where he served in many offices and ministries. Harry was an Ordained Lay Speaker, active with the United Methodist Men, and faithfully attended the Annual Methodist Men''s retreat at Jackson''s Mill.

His favorite ministry for many years was making cross necklaces from concrete cut nails, in seven different colors, each representing the Love of Christ. He carried these with him at all times and would give these out no matter where he was.

Harry retired from Pfaff & Smith Concrete Supply in 1992, with over 30 years of service.
