Harold Melton Jr., 98, of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2011.
A former FBI agent, Harold had a lifelong love of learning, obtaining degrees from the University of Charleston in his '70s. He was a member of Humphreys Memorial Church in Sissonville. He brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Stewart; granddaughter, Toni Creighton and her husband, Ron; great-grandsons, R.J. and Houston Creighton; and good friend, Dave Wilkerson.
He will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville.
