Gregory Alan Harrison, 55, of Charleston went to join his loved ones in Heaven, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hubbard House, while surrounded by loved ones.
Born May 5, 1960 in Charleston; he was the son of the late Coy D. Harrison, and mother Janet Coleman Harrison. Greg was a 1979 graduate of Sissonville High School and retired in 2013 from the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was an avid Nascar fan, and had an obsession for the old muscle cars, especially anything Mopar. Greg was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan and loved the music of Elvis Presley.
Left to cherish his memory are the loves of his life; daughter, Brittany Nicole Harrison, and son, Blake Alan Harrison. His children blessed him with four grandchildren: Cohen, Calaiha, Michael, and Desmond. Greg''s grandchildren were his pride and joy. Greg is also survived by a sister, Judy Harrison Hall, of Charleston, his caretaker and best friend, as well as his loving brother, Steve Harrison (Dorothy) of Nitro; a host nephews and nieces, and great nephews and nieces; and a life long friend and brother of the heart, Bill Brogan (Terry).
In addition to his parents, Greg is preceded in death by his great niece, Sidney Pritt.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Hubbard House whose faithful dedication to patients and family make such a hard time bearable. And a special Thank You to his neighbors Kevin and Kelly Skeens, and Ed and Sharon Dulcie, for all your help, love and kindness.
Greg, you left us way too soon, but you will live on in the hearts of those who loved you. Go Rest High on that Mountain!
Services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior to service. Reverend Al Mendez and Chaplain Pete Thompson will be officiating.
Entombment will begin on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11am at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum.
