Gladys Mae Hamilton, 81, of Kelly''s Creek departed this life on July 28, 2010 to be received in the arms of her heavenly father along with her husband Roy and daughter Dorothy.
Gladys was a charter member of the New Testament Community Church, Utah Hollow Road. She enjoyed socializing with the Sissonville senior citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Hamilton; parents, Sherman and Vonnie King; daughter, Dorothy Guthrie; and sisters, Isabelle Shureck, Helen Conner and a brother, Carl King.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Beulah M. Pritt, Janet Wright and Juanita Edens and her husband, Randy, all of Sissonville; son in law, Larry "Bunkey" Guthrie of Sissonville; sisters, Phyllis Douglas of Cross Lanes and Sue Ellison of Florida; brother, Thurmon "Jim" King of Leon; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren who were her pride and joy; and a host of family and friends.
The Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Chad Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Goff-McClanahan cemetery, Kelly''s Creek.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of HospiceCare, Sunbridge Nursing Center and Eula McClanahan for their wonderful care of Gladys.
