Obituary

Giula "Arlene" Hudnall, 81, of Sissonville was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 15th, 2018.

She was the daughter of the late Arlie Glo and Ernie Vernest Reed and was preceded in death by: James "Buddy" Reed, Leon "Pete" Reed, Reba Reed, Beulah Crank, and Sean Miller.

She was survived by son, James Ralph Miller; daughter, Reba Ann Miller; brothers, Dale Reed, Ronald Reed, Bruce Reed, and Brett Reed; grandchildren, Robert Mark Miller, Ginger Michelle Conley, Taran Nicole Graham; great grandchildren, Mark Ethan Miller, and five other grandchildren.

Arlene collected many things, especially collectible dolls and items of particular sentimental value. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. A lifelong Christian, Arlene loved her Saviour, Jesus Christ and her family immensely. One only had to look at her walls to know where her love sprung from and where her heart resided . Arlene also loved to cook and gained great joy watching others eat what she had made. Once she found out your favorite food, you could be sure she'd have it ready when you visited. She was selfless and giving and never missed an opportunity to help someone when she could.

Arlene was a well of love and everyone that met her ultimately called her Mamaw Teo. Aside from her naturally born children, she left behind countless others in her wake. Others that she had adopted as her own along the way. Irving Berlin once said, "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on," and the poet Hafez said "The heart is like a thousand stringed instrument that can only be tuned by love." Both of those statements personify who Arlene was. She is a melody that will never be forgotten by those who loved her and she spent her time on earth tuning her family with the greatness of her love.
