Gilbert Arthur Casto, 91, of Sissonville passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, April 12, 2018. He was the son of the late Edgar and Hilda Casto Gilbert served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He loved to farm and play cards with his two grandchildren. He was a kind, generous, and compassionate man who never met a stranger. Most of all Gilbert was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Roy Casto (Nettie); sister, Macel Miller (Charlie), and Loretta Reese (Claude).

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Doris Casto; daughters, Marsha Casto (Fred Holliday); Patricia Snodgrass (Terry), and June Ingram (Dale); sisters, Wilma Fisher and Jean Miller; grandchildren, Megan Turley and Patrick Ingram.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11am. Dr. Jerry Fisher will be officiating. Internment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories with military rites by St. Albans VFW and American Legion, and US Army representatives
