G. Geraldine Reveal Yates, 86, of Sissonville departed this life Sept. 29, 2007, in Select Specialty Hospital following a short illness. She was born July 23, 1921, a daughter of the late Earl Jewett and Lilly Mae Reveal. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Carroll P. Yates and a sister Dorothy Morris. Geraldine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Carpenter of Sissonville, three sons, Ernest M. Yates of Ann Arbor, Mich. Kenneth L. Yates of Holt, Mich. and Earl A. Yates of Christensburg, VA.; sister, Ruth Henshaw of Sumter, South Carolina: 14 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great great-granddaughter. The family expresses its heart felt appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Geraldine by the staff of Cedar Ridge Nursing facility, and PCU Unit at St. Francis Hospital, the Select Specialty Hospital and to all of her doctors. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 3, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, Sissonville, with the Elder Jerry Dolan and Bishop Johnnie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service at the church.
