Gerald Everette Haynes, 87, of Sissonville WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Gerald was born on May 22, 1939, to the late Wilbur and Anna Haynes. He was proud to serve his country as a Paratrooper in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for three years.

Gerald leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Brenda Haynes. He is also survived by his children Debbie Fulks and Bubby Haynes and his wife, Anna; brother Frank Haynes (Peggy),  grandchildren Robert LeRoy(Mindy), Dwayne LeRoy(Angel), MaKinley Haynes, and Addy Haynes; and great-grandchildren Myia, Emma, Alyee, and Memphis LeRoy.

Gerald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral Services will be held at Long and Fisher Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 12:00pm with Pastor Kenneth Truman officiating ,  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories in Sissonville West Virginia with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kanawha County Animal Shelter in Gerald's memory.
