George Wesley White, 77 of Fairplain, WV, died November 10, 2013.

Born February 3, 1936 in Kenna, WV. He was the son of the late George B. White and Emma Bailey White.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer White.

He was a retired employee of the Charleston Newspaper and also served our country in the Untied States Army.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Kay Straight White; son, Mark A. White of Matthews, NC; daughter, Lisa Kay White and companion Jim Saranczak of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Melissa and Amanda White and Nicholas Saranczak; brothers, Harold White, Darrell R. White, and Carl White; sisters, Fay Coleman, Alberta Bennett, Doris Lanham, Thelma Thomas, and Betty Kiser.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Long and Fisher Funeral Chapel in Sissonville with Rev. Matt Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville where military graveside rites will be conducted.

Visitation will be the held two hours prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice Care 1606 Kanawha Blvd., W Charleston, WV 25387.
