Obituary
Freida Mae Morris, 85, Sissonville passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House West.
She was a graduate of Nitro High School and attended business college in Charleston. Freida was a retiree from the Charleston Town Center as a parking attendant and later became a greeter at Walmart. She was an active member with the WV Democratic Party, Nitro Senior Center, and Nitro Moose. Freida loved genealogy.
Freida is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Velda Taylor; and her sister, Rosalie Thaxton.
She will be missed by her daughter, Yvonne Britton and her husband Kenneth; brother, Dennis E. Taylor; grandchildren, Melissa Anderson and her companion Bernie Sumie, Amanda Manely and her husband Matthew, and Joshua Britton; great grandchildren, Scotty Britton and his wife Cassie, Samantha and Courtney Anderson, Zachery and Michael Britton, Logan Manely, Jacob and Jace Britton; great great grandchildren, Olivia and Ivy Lee Britton; honorary granddaughter, Monica Skiles; and host of nephews.
The family would like to thank Thomas Memorial ICU for taking excellent care of Freida.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Britton Family Cemetery on Britton Ridge Rd in Sissonville.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hubbard Hospice House: 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
