Frank Vance, 73, of Sissonville, passed away June 13, 2012, at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He owned and operated Vance's Feed Store in Sissonville for 42 years. He was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and customers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fisher and Esta Vance; brothers, Ollie and Junior; sisters, Virginia Hasting and Icy Crowder; and nephew, Richard Fox.
Frank is survived by his son, J. Frankie Shabdue (Michelle) of Tennessee; brother, James Vance (Linda) of Nitro; six grandchildren, Karetha, Amanda, Aleshia, Sara, Abigail and Samuel; eight nieces and nephews; special nieces, Fay Hager of Sissonville and Dianna O'Connor of Charleston; and special friend, Peggy.
Service will be held at noon Saturday, June 16, at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with Pastor David Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
