Eunice Faye Burdette, 84, was born May 8th, 1941, and passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at Hubbard House West surrounded by family and her precious dog Cocoa.

Eunice was a lifelong resident of Wolf Pen in Sissonville, WV. She attended Elizabeth Baptist Church. Eunice dedicated her life to caring for others. She was best known for her wide-open heart and open kitchen. There was always something warm on the stove, a plate ready to be served and time to sit and talk. To children in her life and there were many, she was "Mamaw Eunie".
Eunice never saw family as defined by only marriage or blood. She believed love made someone family. Her relationship with her former daughter-in-law Paula Jones was a testament to that. Even after circumstances changed their bond remained strong rooted in shared memories, respect and affection.

Eunice was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Thaxton and Bertha Harrison, her loving husband Larry and her grandson Josh Burdette whom she loved dearly and missed every day. She carried his memory close to her heart always. Her brothers Earl, Raymond, Calvin, Burley Jr, Owen, Manuel (Buddy), and sister Mae Jordan.

Eunice is survived by her son Markis, and grandson Holdon that held a special place in her heart. No matter the distance or circumstance her love for him never wavered. Brother Garland, and special niece Lenore Thaxton that she helped raise, a special bond they shared was that of a mother and daughter. Sister-in-laws: Carol Ann, Loretta, Brother-in-law Phillip (Connie), and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on June 4, 2025 at Floral Hills Garden of Memories in Sissonville WV.
