Frances Burdette passed away on September 22, 2026. She is now awaiting the return of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leftwich and Ernie Moss; her husband, Charles Burdette; her son, Ronald Burdette; and her daughters, Sharon Smith and Sheila Gibson. Sheila’s remains will be laid to rest with her mother.

Those left to cherish Frances’ memory include her children, Eugene Burdette (Patty) and Michael Burdette (Charlotte), both of Sissonville; Bonita Melton (Ronnie) of Elkview; and Irene Shamblin of Kenna. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom loved her dearly and shared many wonderful memories with her.

Frances retired from CAMC, where she dedicated 18 years of service.

Her family and friends will lovingly remember Frances for the memories they shared and the love she gave throughout her life.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24th at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will proceed at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25th, at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
