If you knew him you loved him, Emmett D. Sigmon, 83, passed away surrounded by his family on March 8,2025, at Ravenswood Village after a courageous battle with cancer. Emmett was born January 30,1942, to the late Vernon Sigmon and Delsia Huffman in Charleston, WV.

Emmett loved to garden and fish. He was a Army Veteran and worked construction.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters Mazie, Patsy, Linda, and Peggy, and his brother Gerald.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother John, Rocky, and Glennie, brother Vernon Jr., sisters Rena and Marilyn, children Shari (Timmy) ,Rhonda (Roland), Darell (Lorie) ,Kelly (Tina), nine grandkids and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20th at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
