Emilee "Carpenter" Jordan, 79, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2013, at Eldercare Nursing Home of Ripley, WV after a long illness.

Emilee had attended Old Faith Gospel Tabernacle of Charleston and was a member of Easter Star South Charleston Chapter No. 131 and Ladies Oriental Shrine.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert Marcelless Carpenter and Della Vada "Jones" Carpenter; brothers, Richard and Jack Carpenter and her husband, Charles Leroy Jordan.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary S. Jordan and his fianc Teresa Lovejoy of Ripley, Rita M. Fisher and her husband Rick of Sissonville; brothers, Hubert Vaughn Carpenter and his wife Judy of Elkview, Robert Carpenter and his wife Marlene of Charleston, Paul Carpenter of Pence Springs; sisters, Betty Chapman and her husband Kermit of Virginia, Genevieve Paxton and her husband Paul of Walton; 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild on the way, many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 11 AM Tuesday, April 9, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
