Elizabeth Lee Shivley, 87 of Sissonville passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Newhouse. Elizabeth enjoyed knitting, search a word, music and dancing. She was always "on the go" and was happy to help others. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family the most.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James K. Shivley; son, James Wendal Shivley; seven sisters and two brothers.

Left to cherish Elizabeth's memory are her children, Kenny Shivley (Judy), Terry Shivley, and Cathy Shivley; grandchildren, Jason Shivley (Jennifer), Rebecca Hazlewood (Jason), Justin Shivley, Jessica Peck, and Brittney Peck; great grandchildren, Nicholas Devine, Piper Hazlewood, and James Shivley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A special thank you for the kindness and wonderful care given to Mrs. Shivley by hospice nurses and private caregivers during her time of need.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Al Mendez and Pastor Allen Owens officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Sissonville Memorial Gardens.
