Edward Allen Slate Jr. (Little Eddie), 26, of Sissonville passed away March 22, 2012, after a short illness. He was a graduate of Sissonville High School, class of 2004. He had worked at West Virginia Steel Co.
James Wills and Chris Berry were a couple of his great friends who he liked to hang out with, going boating and four-wheeler riding, or just playing XBox.
Eddie was the type of person who had a heart of gold; he would do anything for anyone. He loved all people. He also had a lot of friends who he thought of.
He will be missed by all family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his father, Edward Slate Sr.; mother, Sandra Slate; sister, Ashley Slate; grandmother, Virgie Slate; and lots of other family members; his best pal, Bella; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Rodney Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville.
The family wants to thank a few of his friends for being there for him: James Wills, Chris Berry, Chris Cavender, Justin Hinkley, Mike Adkins, Jason Randolph, Chris Slate, John Conraid and all of his special friends. He loved them all.
