Edna Josephine (Fisher) Monday, 93, of Sissonville.  Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House.  Edna was married to Ronald M. Monday for 69 years before his passing in 2015.  She lived the last 4 years of her life at the Alzheimer's Unit Mary's Garden at Marmet Center where she was loved and treated as a princess by the staff.  She was a member of Fisher Chapel Church.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Nellie (Cunningham) Fisher of Kenna, two Sisters--Bessie Cooksey and Lessie Fisher and three Brothers—Rector Fisher, Robert Fisher, and Frankie Fisher.

Edna was loved deeply by her eight children and their spouses: Gail Fisher (David), Ron Monday (Cathy), Tim Monday (Jo), Larry Monday (Bernadette), Leah Henson (Dean), Lisa Casdorph (Jim), Laun Monday (Amy) and Lori Goff (Jeff).  She is survived and loved by seventeen Grandchildren, twenty-seven Great-grandchildren and one Great-great-grandchild.

Edna is also survived by her brother Bill Fisher and two sisters, Bernice Woods and Betty Ray, and several of nieces and nephews.  As well as scores of friends whose lives she touched by her sweet quiet spirit.

The family would like to thank the care givers at Mary's Garden and the personal home care givers who provided care for Edna during her time of need.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service. Internment will take place at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
