Edna Kathryn Hammack, 81, of Sissonville went to be with the Lord Thursday, January 24, 2008, at home after an extended illness.
Kathryn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by children, Helen Preston of Kenna, Larry Hammack and his wife, Fonda, of Kenna, Dorothy Hammack of Kenna and Herman Lee Hammack of Kenna; one sister, Florence Gerlach of Fostoria, Ohio; brother, Floyd Gerlach of Big Prairie, Ohio; grandchildren, Stacy Ballangee and her husband, Richie, Amy Shamblin and husband, Randy, Lora Hammack and companion, David Vineyard, and Tina Hammack and companion, Richard Whytsell; and great-grandchildren, James Ballangee, Haylee Shamblin and Garrett Vineyard.
The family would like to express a special thanks to caregivers, Rhonda and Keith.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in the Fisher-Hammack Cemetery, Fisher Ridge.
Friends may call one hour prior to service time Saturday at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
