Donald R. Jones Sr., 78, of Sissonville passed away June 3, 2011.
Donald was a retired truck driver with Carbon Fuel. He loved working on his automobiles and enjoyed the outdoors. He especially loved his dog, Sarah. Donald was an Army Veteran.
Preceded in death by his son, Keith Jones, and parents, Mansfield and Erma Jones.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Stella Jones at home; children, Donald "Donnie" R. Jones Jr. and his wife, Jonda, of Sissonville, and Denise McAllister and her husband, Rick, of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Peggie Myers and her husband, Al, of Tampa, FL, and Wanda Taylor and her husband, John, of Sissonville; grandchildren, Danielle, Bailee, Chelsee, and Dylan all of Sissonville, and Dakoda of TN; and numerous extended family.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Wednesday June 8 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery, Martins Branch.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family.
