Donald C. Burdette, 74, of Charleston passed away March 20, 2007 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home after a short illness.
Donald was retired from the Charleston Sanitary Board having worked as a pump mechanic with 33 years service. Donald loved working on lawn mowers in his spare time.
Survived by: Wife, Shirley Burdette at home; Sons, Donald and James Burdette of Charleston; Daughters, Beverley Anderson, Melodee Ransom, and Tracie Sigmon all of Charleston; Sisters, Pauline Shaffer and Betty Jenkins both of Sissonville; Brother, Basil Burdette of Jackson County; Thirteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Friday, March 23 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home with Rev. E.J. Dollen officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
