Don Arthur Parsons, 73, of Sissonville went home to be with Jesus February 2, 2013 in Hubbard Hospice West after a long illness.

Don was a member of the Sissonville Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed restoring old cars, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He retired in 1999 from AEP central machine shop with 28 years service.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Helen Parsons at home; son, Thomas Parsons of Sissonville; daughter, Terry Asseff of South Charleston; sister, Kathryn Fesler of Las Cruces, New Mexico; grandchildren, Christina Scarberry, Thomas Parsons Jr. and Kaelyn Asseff; great-grandchildren, Logan and Alexia Scarberry; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor David Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.

A gathering of family and friends will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
