Dennis James Haynes, 66, of Elkview, WV, passed away on March 23, 2023. Born on November 22, 1956 in Charleston, he was the son of the late James and Lula Tate Haynes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Haynes and sister, Christina Haynes. Dennis owned and operated Haynes Excavating, Haynes Home Improvement and Continuous Gutters in Elkview, WV. He could build just about anything from just about nothing. He loved Harleys and his dogs, Cody and Sierra. Dennis is survived by his wife, Brenda Barnett Haynes; children, Billy (Cheryl) Danberry and Farrah (Doug) Thaxton; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Douglas (Phyllis) Haynes, James "Ricky" Haynes and Larry Haynes; nieces and nephews, Sherry Talbert, Paul Haynes, Eddie Johnson, Al Haynes, Jeff Haynes, Katrina Woodrum, Crystal Haynes, Justin Haynes, Destiny Haynes, Devin Haynes, and many special close friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 11:00 A.M.
