Dennis Edwin Harvey Clark, Jr., of Elkview, passed away on Dec.2, 2012, at the Hubbard Hospice House after a short illness. He was the son of the late Violet and Dennis E. H. Clark, Sr., formerly of Bluefield, W.V.
Dennis was a graduate of Welch High School and VPI, Blacksburg, VA, where he majored in mining engineering. He was a professional engineer and worked as Chief Industrial Engineer at Allied Chemical-Semet-Solvay mines, Union Carbide mine, a consulting engineer at Gaddy Engineering in Huntington, and recently retired from the WV Dept of Highways on Dec. 31, 2011.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Ruth; son, DEH "Trey" Clark, III of Elkview; Ginny Poe (Jeffrey) of Ripley; Maria Beckett (Jason) Sissonville; Ken Rice, OH; and brother, Thomas S. Clark, MD, of Palm Beach, Fla.
There will be a private memorial service for family and friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sissonville. Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville is charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
