Delores A. Spencer, 70, of Sissonville died Saturday June 27, 2009 at home after a short illness.
She was born August 25, 1938 and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, Wolf Pen.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Telford "Tip" Spencer; parents, James "Ed" and Goldie Harper; brothers, Clem, Curt and Benton Harper; sisters, Ida Gibson, Sylvia Legg, Esther Carte, Effie White, Maxine Cadle, Marie Shabdue, Thelma Epperly, Fronia Harper, Opal Harper, and Wilma Fisher.
Survived by: sons, Wayne, David, and Gene Spencer all of Sissonville; daughters, Ramona Spencer and Barbara Miller both of Sissonville, and Linda Ransom and her husband, Dennis, of Mammoth; sisters, Mildred Thaxton, Lorraine Smith, and Meretha White; brothers, Roger, Deanea, and James Harper; grandchildren, William and Amanda Miller, and Brittany Ransom; great-grandson, Evan Akers of Sissonville.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, July 1st at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville with Rev. Billy Joe Asbury and Rev. Walter Means officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the graveside.
