Delores Jean "Toots" Parsons, 75, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Friday July 27, 2007 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had a great gift of writing poetry.
Delores was born June 20, 1932 in Charleston, a daughter of the late Arlie Franklin Frederick, and Violet Madeline Hardy. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 53 ½ years, Guy Aaron Parsons Sr., May 9, 2003; brothers, James Paul, and Ronald Wayne Frederick; sister, Carol Ellis.
Survived by: children and their spouses, Guy Aaron Jr. and Connie Parsons, Daniel Lawrence and Anne Parsons all of Charleston, Pamela Jean and Jay Thomas of Elkview, Richard Dale and Karen Parsons of South Carolina, Benjamin A. Parsons of Nitro, Kathy Lynn Atkinson of Florida, John Carl and Angel Parsons of Elkview, Joseph Allen and Vicki Parsons of South Carolina, and Timothy Andrew and Tonya Parsons of New York; brothers, Arlie Franklin and Gloria Frederick of Phoenix, Arizona, and Carl Frederick; sisters, Betty and Irving Hudson of Cuba, Missouri, Joan and Robert Moore of Glendale, Arizona, and Barbara and Fred Kurtzweg of Tucson, Arizona; 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, with number 12 due in September, and 2 step great grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be 1pm Tuesday, July 31 at the Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Sissonville. Burial will follow at Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty. Friends may call 6-9pm Monday at the Church.
