Della Ann Allman Snyder, 59 of Elkview, passed away peacefully, and surrounded by family, on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at CAMC Memorial after a long illness.
Born September 14, 1955 in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Lee Allman Sr, and Isabelle Tucker Allman.
Della was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County, where she was a graduate of Dupont High School. She was a Social Worker for Community Development Outreach Ministry, where she assisted needy families through the Heart and Hand Community Service Center in South Charleston. She lived for her work, and was devastated when she had to give it up in October, to care for her illness. Della had a bright smile, and a charitable spirit. She never knew a stranger, and was never too short on time to listen to a problem, or offer a solution.
She was one of the most giving and selfless people you could ever hope to meet, and she sacrificed endlessly for her loved ones. Whether it was a stray dog, a wayward cat, or a needy person, she would always do her best to ensure their needs were met, long before worrying with her own.
In addition to her parents, she was greeted at Heaven''s gates by her sister, Tammy Allman Jones, and her precious infant daughter, Bianca Star McGill,
Della is survived by her loving husband on 10 years, Bobby G.
