IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra Ann
Walker
March 27, 1957 – February 23, 2024
Debra Ann Walker, 66, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Hubbard Hospice House. She was born on March 27, 1957 to the late Ernest and Ruby Taylor.
Our hearts are broken today, this world has lost an amazing lady. A bright and shining star in all of our lives. Debbie was beautiful, kind, generous, fun, and loving to all who knew her. We lost a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a sister, and a best friend but Heaven gained an angel. There's no doubt Debbie had a beautiful welcome party in Heaven, straight in the arms of Jesus surrounded by her mom, Ruby; her Dad, Ernest; her brother, Jimmie; her nephew, Mickie; and so many more. Debbie loved everyone and she always let you know it. Always smiling and positive with kind words to offer. She loved her grandchildren beyond measure and she was the kind of Mawma kids are lucky to have. She loved her little dog Coco. She will be greatly missed by so many. She gave us so much to love leaving us with so much to miss.
In addition to her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her brother Jimmie Taylor and nephew Mickie Taylor.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 42 years, Glennis Walker, daughter April (Johnny) Cobb, grandchildren Kaley Thomas, William Thomas, and Hemmi Thomas, sister-in-law and best friend Christine Taylor (Mabel) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, nieces Tammie (Tony) and Christine Toler of North Myrtle Beach, SC, nephews David and Zachary Taylor of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and many more nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor T. Kavan Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
