Dayton Hedrick Serls, 73, of Gandeeville, WV, passed away at home on Sunday, November 17, 2024. He was born on February 10, 1951, to the late Hedrick and Audrey Fields Serls.

Dayton was a fabricator for over 30 years. He worked for Parco Steel and Trojan Steel and retired from Charleston Steel. Dayton loved working on his farm, the outdoors, and hunting. He loved all his animals and believed in all Christian faiths.

In addition to his parents, Dayton is preceded in death by nine siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Dayton E. Serls, two sisters, Julie Miller and Lorene Teel, two brothers, Carl Serls and JR Serls, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
