David Lee Whiting, 60, of Charleston died Monday July 2, 2007. He was a retired chemical operator with Oxidental Chemical Company with 17 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Leota Asbury Whiting. He is survived by his former wife: Donna Whiting of Charleston, WV Son: Darik D. Whiting and his wife Tammy of Sissonville, WV Daughter: Deana Cutlip and her husband Eric of Charleston, WV 3 Grand children: Austin Holmes, Erica Cutlip, and Kasey Whiting Companion: Linda Butta of Charleston Brothers: Denzil A. Whiting and Jarrell W. Whiting of Sissonville and Jimmie Whiting of Charleston Funeral Service will be 12:00 Thursday July 5, 2007 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Joe Asbury officiating. Burial will follow in the Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville, WV. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until Noon Thursday at the funeral home.
