David Owen Kitchen, 57, passed away on October 6, 2026, at CAMC Memorial, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dayton, Ohio, David moved to Charleston, WV. He graduated from George Washington High School in the class of 1987 and later earned an autobody degree from Carver Career Center.

David was passionate about collecting coins and loved traveling the world with his beloved wife, Angela Marie Kitchen. Together, they visited all 50 states and traveled overseas to Australia, Europe, Iceland, Greenland, Fiji, New Caledonia, Tahiti, and the Caribbean.

Family and friends were at the center of David’s life. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and Pawpaw. David and Angela were blessed with three wonderful children, whom he was incredibly proud of.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsea Samantha Kitchen; his grandchild, Angel Kitchen; and his parents, William and Barbara Kitchen.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Marie Kitchen; his children, Chasadina (Joshua) Cook and Christopher Kitchen; and three grandchildren, Josilyn, Sophia, and Ethan. He also leaves behind many dear friends.

David will be remembered for his generous spirit and his willingness to do anything for a friend.

At the family's request, a private burial will be held at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
