anny Lee Harrison, 62, passed away on Friday, June 13.
He was born Sept. 13, 1951, and was a lifelong resident of Sissonville. Danny was an employee at FMC and, later in life, worked at Brown''s Garage. He said he "worked to live, but didn''t live to work."
Danny was a friend, storyteller, hot rod builder, VW lover, handsome devil, history buff, charming tough guy, race car driver, stubborn softie, moonshiner, funny conversationalist, pork chop cooker and much-loved father.
He is survived by his five children: Heather, Heath, Hillary, Holly and Heidi. He taught them the value of unconditional love, doing it yourself, forgiveness, and living simply.
He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Barnhart, and uncle, James Harrison.
Pawpaw Danny is loved and missed by his granddaughter, Samara Harrison, grandson, William Withrow, and his beloved dog, Lilly.
Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Spot and Glady Harrison; father, Floyd; mother, Juanita and brother (and partner in crime), Jackie.
Arrangements are being made by Long & Fisher Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Harrison Cemetery on Spicewood Road near Goldtown on June 21 at 11 a.m. Pastor Aaron Finney will be officiating.
