Curtis V. Carpenter, 67, of Charleston passed away Saturday September 25, 2010 at Hubbard Hospice House.
He was a graduate of Sissonville High School, He was a retired Surveyor for the WV Department of Highways after 38 years and was formerly employed by E.L. Robinson Co.
He was a member of the Kanawha Two Mile Gospel Tabernacle. He was a Sunday School Teacher and a devoted Christian and a Sunday School Superintendant.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawson and Orpha Coffman Carpenter
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Joyce Anderson Carpenter. Sons: Chad E. Carpenter (Aimee) of Sissonville Nathan Carpenter (Laura) of Charleston Grandchildren: Caden, Colten, Kynzey Carpenter which were the joy of his life. Step Mother: Rose Carpenter of Charleston Sisters: Peggy Purcell of Charleston Rita Cobb of Charleston Karen Wickline (Charles) of Charleston Brothers: David Carpenter (Brenda) of Given John Carpenter (Tina) of Charleston
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday September 28, 2010 at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hensley, Rev. Pete Hendricks and Rev. David Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jenkins Cemetery, Kanawha Two Mile
