Claude B. Reese, 83, of Sissonville took his final breath here and his first breath in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 9, 2010.
He was born on November 7, 1926, in Charleston to Claude B. and Sadie P. (Harding) Reese, Sr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Blanche Moore, and brothers, Elmer and Herbert Reese.
He was a member and trustee of Allen''s Fork Community Church. He was a member of South Charleston Lodge #168 AF & AM and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a jeweler for over 55 years, having worked at Mico Wholesale, Berman Jewelers, Lilly''s, and Stamper Jewelers.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Casto Reese; sons, Gregory (Beth) and Stephen(Tamara) both of Charleston; daughter, Shawn(Darrell) Clark of Eleanor; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Joey, Jill, Ricky, Morgan, The Dye Family Singers, and his doctors, nurses, and helpers at CAMC Memorial, Cedar Ridge Nursing Home, and the Hubbard Hospice House.
The Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, February 12 at Allen''s Fork Community Church, Sissonville with Pastor Joe Scarberry and Dr. Jerald Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8pm Thursday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
