Christina Marie Fisher, 41, of South Charleston went to be with the Lord December 25, 2010 in Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Christina attended Dunbar High School and WV State College pursuing a career in Social Work. She was a member of the Charleston Mountain Mission and was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Tim Fisher and his wife, Jessica, and Sarah Fisher all of Sissonville; parents, James Sigmon and step-mother, Velma , of St. Albans and Sheila Kerns and step-father Richard Kerns of Cross Lanes; brothers, Michael Sigmon and his wife, Lori, of Dundee, FL, John Sigmon and his wife, Misti, of St. Albans, and a step-brother, Rick Kerns of Walton; grandmother, Pauline Alkire of South Charleston; grandson, Caleb Fisher at home; and ten nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Wednesday, December 29 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens.
A gathering of family and friends will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
