Obituary
Charlotte Belle Janney Slaughter, 84, of Matthews, NC, formerly of Charleston, WV, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012.
She was born August 25, 1928, in Kenna, WV, to the late Joseph Franklin and Thelma Viola Gandee Janney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Spencer Slaughter, triplet baby brothers Franklin, Delano and Roosevelt Janney, also brothers Ronald Janney, Starling Janney, and sister Shirley Janney Slaughter.
She had resided with her son Freddie and wife Joyce Slaughter in Matthews, NC, for the past four years. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Mary Janney Soper of Matthews, NC, son, Randy and wife Jo Slaughter, of Humble, TX. She had eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call from Noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
