Charles Eugene Shivley, 40, of Sissonville passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 20, 2016.

Born June 3, 1975 in Charleston, he was the son of Dwight Eugene Shivley and Shelia Ann Atkins Shivley.

Chuck was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and watching WVU football. Chuck attended Sissonville High School and played on the football team. He was proud to have played football for WVU Tech in his college days. His favorite past time was coaching Sissonville Midget League, where he coached his son, and Sissonville High School football. Chuck also coached wrestling. He enjoyed spending time riding his Harley. Chuck worked for Toyota Manufacturing for 16 years.

He will be missed by his loving wife, Erica Shivley; son, Blake; sister, Sonja Merchant; niece, Emily Merchant; in laws, Roland and Patti Eagle; and his dog, Thor.

Visitation will be from 5-9pm at Sissonville High School gym on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. The family would like midget league, middle school, and high school football players to wear their jerseys during visitation.

Funeral service will be at 1pm on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating.

Interment will be private.
