Carroll Edward Jones, 63, of Liberty went to his eternal home on August 4, 2011 at home after a short illness.
Carroll was preceded in death by his brother, David Jones, and his father, Owen Jones.
Carroll proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. So when thinking of your freedom, think of Carroll. He loved fishing, hunting, and truck pull competitions with his son, winning many ribbons. He also loved working in his garden and canning. Carroll was retired from Union Carbide and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Ann; son, Carroll E. Jones Jr. and his wife, Kristi; grandsons, Dylan and Hunter Jones of Liberty; step-daughter, Jeannie Miller and her husband, Brett, of North Port, Florida; mother, Erna Mae "Johnny" Jones of Liberty; brother, Michael Jones and his wife, Jenny, of Sandyville; sisters, Doris Asbury and her husband, Ray, Joyce Ashby and her husband, Richard, all of Liberty, Carolyn Sue Fleming of Erin, Tennessee, and Belinda Withrow and her husband, Randy, of Sissonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 6, 2011 at the Emma Chapel Church, Liberty with Reverend Butch Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday at the Emma Chapel Church,
