Carol Sue McKinney, 77, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at CAMC Memorial. She was born on August 20, 1947, to the late Victor and Syble Lawson.

Carol attended North Hills Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and loved going to the beach and camping. Carol devoted her life to her six grandchildren they were her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents Carol is preceded in death by her siblings Ronnie Lawson, Arnold Lawson, Glenda Lawson, Brenda Salango, Vickie Sizemore, Phyllis Williams, Betty Goad, Lois Presley, and Jeanette Compton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Calvin McKinney, children Kevin (Teresa) McKinney, Shawn McKinney, and Jodi Bailey, grandchildren Logan McKinney, Caitie McKinney, Cole McKinney, Trey McKinney, Maxton Bailey, and Lawson Bailey, and brother Donnie Lawson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at North Hills Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Harper officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. before the service at the church.
