Carol Sue Haynes, 80, of Sissonville went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2024 in Cedar Ridge Nursing Home.

Carol was born October 31, 1943 in Charleston to the late Howard and Billie Sampson.  In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her step-father, Russell Slack; and sisters, Margaret Jarrell, and Penny Stone.

Carol was a homemaker, taking care of Dickie over 50 years.  She was loved by all who knew her, having not ever met a stranger.

Left to cherish her memory are loving husband of 50 years, Richard "Dickie" Haynes at home; son, John Ulbrich; step-sons, Scott Haynes, and Eric Haynes; sister, Linda Morris of Sissonville; grandchildren, Brady Ulbrich, Anthony Haynes, Alyssa Haynes, Sierra McFadden, and Austin Estep; great-grandchildren, Rylan Haynes, Maci Haynes, Dean Haynes, and Trace McFadden; and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her terribly.

Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, 6837 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville with Pastor Dave Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
