Carol Elaine Fields 73, of Sissonville, WV, passed away peacefully from a short illness on August 3, 2025 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Charleston, WV in 1952 to Ulen Good and Rosalie Boggess, Carol attended Sissonville High School graduating in June 1970 where shortly before married Gary Edward Fields Sr. in 1968.

Carol was a devoted mother to Tammy & Gary Jr., her pride, and joys. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Ulen Good, Rosalie Raines and sister Karen Summers, and is survived by her children Tammy (David) Jones, Gary Fields Jr (Tessie Lynn Cooper) and sister Sandy Asbury and a whole host of family & friends both biological and chosen, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A gathering will be held on Thursday August 7th from 6-8pm at Long and Fisher Funeral Home.

At this time, no service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hubbard House in Charleston, WV in her name would be greatly appreciated.
