CARL C. THAXTON.
Carl C. Thaxton, 93, of Sissonville passed away January 24, 2007 at Cedar Ridge Nursing Center. He was born March 3, 1912, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary Stogden Thaxton. He was a brick mason and a veteran of World War II.
Carl was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 53 years Mabel Landis Thaxton. His sisters Freda Shamblin, Irene Anderson, Rosie Holmes, Estel Holmes, Bessie Thaxton and brothers Ronceford Thaxton and Romie Thaxton.
He is survived by a son Danny Miller, granddaughters Tama Staats, Monica Saunders, Crystal Miller and special, loving caregivers Patsy Sisson and Bobby and Linda Shamblin. He also has 4 great grandchildred and many wonderful nieces, nephews friends and family left to cherish his memory.
Services will be held at Long & Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville Friday January 26, 2007 at 1:00pm with the Rev. Edison Hager officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories. In Sissonville.
