Carl Gibbs Jr., 73, of Derricks Creek passed away July 4, 2008 at home of a short illness. He was retired from SVI, and was a member of the Derricks Creek Community Church. He was preceded in death by his wife: Karen Holmes Gibbs,, and parents Carl and Mary Gibbs, brothers, Charles and Ralph Gibbs. He is survived by his children: Ron Gibbs of Parkersburg Steven Gibbs of Wintersville, Ohio Cathy Toto and husband Tony of Grand Island, FL Step Son: David Burdette and wife Sharon of Derricks Creek Grand son: Adam Gibbs of Columbus, OH Sisters: Edith of Indianapolis, IN Jean Little and husband Everett of Goss Port, IN Faye Rumbaugh of Winifrede, WV Brenda Childers of Belle, WV Brothers: Paul Gibbs and wife Ann of St. Albans, WV Gary Gibbs and wife Gloria of Charleston, WV Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday at the Derricks Creek Community Church with the Pastor Carl Casto and Pastor Joey Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pritt Family Cemetery, Derricks Creek. Friends may call from 11 AM until service time at the Derricks Creek Community Church.
