Camie "Carla" Shirkey, age 64, passed away on January 20, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1962, to the late Laura Christy and Clifford Craft.

Carla was a proud retiree of Local 1353, but above all else, she cherished her family and the time she spent with those she loved.

She is survived by her children: two daughters, Stephanie Haynes and Brittany Dickerson, and one son, Jacob Miller. She is also survived by her siblings, Eddie Craft, Lisa Conn, and Richard Christy; her nephews, Jamason Conn & Devan Christy, and niece, Hailey Christy. Carla was a loving grandmother to BJ and Blane Haynes, and a great-grandmother to Tripp and Isla.

In addition to her parents, Camie is preceded in death by her brother, Cedric Craft, and her son-in-law, Bradford Haynes.

Carla will be remembered for her strength, her deep love for her family, and the lasting impact she had on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Visitation will be held from 12 - 1 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. In keeping with Camie's wishes, she will be cremated following the visitation.
