Obituary

Caleb Saint Vance, 26, of Charleston, got his wings on July 28,2022. He was born and raised in Charleston WV, the son of Melissa (Josh) Vance and Scott Bragg. He is survived by his sons, Caleb Saint Vance II, 6, Cain Orlean Vance, 3, and Nolan King, 1; his parents, Melissa and Josh of Scott Depot and Scott Bragg of Florence, SC; brother, Devin Vance, 20, of Scott Depot; sister, Taylor Vance, 18, of Scott Depot; brother, Dylan Bragg, 21, of Charleston (Dylan's daughter, Ethel, 3); sister, Cheyenne Bragg, 20, of Sissonville; brother, Jayce Sawyers of Mexico; maternal grandparents, Harry Vance "Popaw Harry", Sherry Johnson (Poncho) of Chesapeake WV; paternal grandparents, Juanita and Rodney Reynolds of Florence SC,plus uncles, aunts, many cousins and friends. Caleb was a high school graduate. He worked for Trugreen for several years. He enjoyed cooking, he was always cooking up something or tying a new recipe he'd seen online. Caleb learned to cook by his mother Melissa's side in the
kitchen growing up; his momma's cooking was his favorite. One of his hobbies was collecting guns and had a pretty impressive gun collection. He loved going to the gun range to blow off some steam or just to go there with his siblings. Caleb also loved football. He always looked forward to football season to watch his favorite team play. The New Orlean Saints was his favorite team. He was their biggest fan, I mean look at his kid's names. When Caleb became a father his instincts kicked in and it was like he had it his whole life. His three boys were his entire world. The bond they shared was amazing. Usually boys are momma's boys but not his boys. They love their mom of course, but daddy was their whole world. They think he hung the moon. Caleb Saint was a very hands on daddy, from dressing up with them on trick-or-treat night, building them a sandbox, taking them to the beach, car shows, monster trucks and endless days at the park or playgrounds. Everyday they were the biggest part of his life. Caleb never saw it as a dad's job or a mom's job, he'd give baths at 3am, feeding, changed diapers, cook dinner etc. Also the bond he had with Devin and Taylor was unreal. Those three would tell each other everything and were always right by each other's side if one of them had a problem. His grandparents loved him like a son. Caleb was a wonderful son, grandson, nephew, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He had an awesome soul. He was smart, good looking, funny, caring and so much more. Family was everything to Caleb and he was everything to his family. He will truly be missed by many. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville, with Cliff Thaxton, officiating.
