Clair Curtis McKemy Jr., 71, of Charleston passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home.

Born December 12, 1942 in Kanawha County, he was the son of the late Clair Curtis McKemy and Dicie R. Higginbotham McKemy.

Curtis enjoyed spending time with his children. He was an avid hunter in his youth. Curtis enjoyed his cat, Sussie.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Rick McKemy and sister, Mildred Gibson.

Curtis is survived by a son, Shawn McKemy; a daughter, Paula McKemy Burdette Jones; a brother, Harold McKemy; three sisters, Ruth Payne, Shirley Collins (Pat), and Judy O''Connor; three grandchildren, Joshua Burdette, Holdon Burdette, and Bailey McKemy; and one beloved cat, Sussie.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Camp officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Entombment will immediately follow and Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
